Outlander filming comes to an emotional end

As Outlander wraps up after eight seasons, Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) and Caitriona Balfe (Claire Fraser) have shared heartfelt tributes, marking the end of their long-running roles in the beloved Starz series. After more than a decade of portraying these iconic characters, both actors took to social media to express their emotions about the journey.

Heughan, reflecting on his 11 years with the show, described the experience as a remarkable adventure. He wrote about the lasting friendships he has built with the cast and crew, calling it a “journey” full of memories and gratitude. He singled out Balfe, praising her as his “brilliant partner in crime,” a testament to the close bond the two have shared throughout the years. He also thanked Diana Gabaldon, the author of the Outlander books, for creating the world that brought Jamie and Claire to life.
